R.I.P., W-I-P

I'm dying to revise my MS for an awesome agent. But I'm also dying of the flu.

Somehow I caught this wicked sickness.

I can't think about introduction; it hurts my frontal lobe.

The agent gave me great feedback for revising. I agree with it all. It shouldn't take super long, she told me. But this whole week is slipping away!

Okay, enough whining.

I'll get to it, I know I will. Just not today, and probably not tomorrow.

I was sick for almost three weeks with some sort of hideous cold/flu bug. It just started going away yesterday.

Good luck with kicking the flu's butt so you can get to the revisions!

(and if you still have questions about social workers and foster kids, feel free to email me anytime)

Sleep, sleep, sleep, my friend! The book will still be waiting and you'll get lots of dream time to work things out in your subconscious!

Hope you feel better soon...

Rest. And don't worry - agents know that we're only human. You'll get there, friend! :-)

Still sick? Don't sweat it. Your WiP -- and that agent -- will be there when you get well.

I love you all so much. Thanks for the cheer!

I told my husband today he could: 1) check me into the hospital, 2) kill me, 3) give me enough xanax where I'd wake up over this whole thing good to go in a few days, 4) rent enough movies and make me tea and talk to me all day long.

He chose #4.

(And Megan, I did shoot you a little email; thanks oodles!).

Jennie--Feel better soon. The work will wait...don't do it until you are better or it won't be your best work. :)

I totally agree with you, Sharon, though the temptation to ignore the fever and start plinking away on the keyboard is getting tougher and tougher.

And thanks, Lola! Love your blog--and those shoes!

Start a new project! Write a fever-induced poem a la Allen Ginsberg or Charles Bukowski. We'll go to Open Mic night in a week and blow some minds, man!
